MTIA by Master Toddy’s Muay Thai Gym Bangkok
WHAT IS MTIA?
The MTIA (Muay Thai International Association) was founded in the last century to spread the sport worldwide.
Since incorporation, thousands of members have spread the word of Muay Thai across 3 continents and instructors in more than 350 gyms have thousands of students studying Grand Master Toddy’s System globally.
OUR VISION
MTIA is spreading Muay Thai and making it the No. 1 Combat Sport globally. To do this requires;
* Training instructors in the best techniques and forms of Muay Thai in conjunction with true Thai Culture
* Establishing Muay Thai gyms in more countries
* Assisting Muay Thai gyms to increase their business through marketing techniques and promotions
* Creating events to promote Muay Thai
The MTIA was developed to pass on the Master’s secrets to the students. MTIA Grading System was designed and introduced by the Grand Master Toddy.
Teaching multiple repetition without focusing on actual technique without organised training programs did not and could not work for most people wishing to learn the art of Muay Thai.
Grand Master Toddy created a step by step approach whereby students could gain confidence and slowly build their skills. The result being his Muay Thai Grading System.
All students train under MTIA Guidlines and have MTIA certified Instructors with licensed pass books and official registration number. All grading is officially registered with MTIA Headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand.
ANY OTHER GRADING OR INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION WILL NOT BE RECOGNISED BY THE MTIA.
For each grade students must have studied for a minimum of 50 hours before instructors can grade them.
Having passed a grade the student receives one grading set which consists of
* grade certificate
* colored prajied
* colored sash / belt
For grading each instructor / gym will carry out a graduation ceremony. This graduation ceremony and details of the students being graded will be recorded and sent to the MTIA HQ.
Gyms are required to send pictures of the graduation ceremony and the graded students to be published.
