In Bangkok For A Day?

Whether you're on holiday, visiting friends and family or here in Bangkok on business, why not get a taste of traditional Thai culture and treat yourself by taking part in Thailand’s National sport: Muay Thai.

We run private lessons 7 days a week, and can accommodate to all abilities. Many people who have trained with us while here on a short trip end up returning in the future to stay and train with us!

Muay Thai - Introductory and Private Lessons

You will train under the Great Grand Master Toddy team, where each of our instructors have been personally selected by Master Toddy himself.

Our well-known system is easy to follow, ensuring that you get the best and most authentic training in a controlled environment.

Before you jump into a class, you will first have a 2 hour lesson, one-on-one with one of our instructors so we can see what level you're at and so you learn the fundamentals of our system. The combination of what's included in our system has produced over 40 champions to date.

Private lessons run from 6am until 8pm, 7 days a week, outside of group session hours.

Muay Thai - Group Sessions

Our group sessions include a mix of pad work, bag work, and sparring, which makes it perfect for anyone looking to increase their Muay Thai skills and overall fitness.

Pad Work - working on excellent timing and technique
Bag Work - every routine we teach is guaranteed to improve technique and stamina
Sparring - what you learn here will be second to none. Learning and practising techniques in a controlled manner

We have weekly, monthly and yearly packages available and the sessions run 6 days a week.

Monday to Saturday: 7.30am - 9.30am, 4.00pm - 6.00pm (no evening class on Saturday)

Women's Fitness and Self Defence

Working step-by-step with Master Toddy's system, you will learn self-defence so you are prepared should you need to use these skills if a situation arises.

Tuesday and Friday: 8.30am - 9.30am

Boxing

Our Boxing Course is a formatted system that is simple to understand to improve your skill set and be able to teach.

Grand Master Toddy got into boxing at a young age and has previously done pad work with Mike Tyson, as well as training Ross ‘The Boss’ Minter and Lamon Brewster, so you will be trained at a high standard. Furthermore, your fitness and stamina will improve greatly.

Monday and Wednesday: 8.30am - 9.30am

Krabi Krabong

An ancient weapons-based Martial Art originating from Thailand that focuses on the curved sword (Krabi) and staff (Krabong).

Royal bodyguards of Thailand's Royal family are said to be highly trained in this Martial Art.

Tuesday and Thursday: 3.00pm - 4.00pm

Children's Class

Get your kid's away from the TV to come and train with us! They will be taught self-defence, self-discipline and respect, all in a fun and enjoyable lesson planned by Grand Master Toddy himself.

During these sessions, they will also learn how to deal with bullies and be taught about being street smart.

Monday and Thursday: 4.00pm - 5.00pm

MMA - Coming Soon!

Learn how to train Muay Thai to fight in MMA. Master Toddy's previous experience speaks for itself having trained many MMA and UFC fighters, such as Tito Ortiz, Randy Couture, Stephan Bonnar and Gina Carano.

You have to adapt all your weapons for closer distance and sharper footwork. In addition, you will also be taught to best position your body for the right attack and defence, and preparing yourself to turn at angles so you are always at the optimum advantage. We know how to win!

Muay Boran

This was originally developed for self-defence for use in the Siamese army and is still taught to the Thai Royal army today.

Many of our instructors grew up fighting on the streets of Thailand, where there are no rules, allowing their more advanced and extreme skills of Muay Boran to be showcased. You will see that it is the most enjoyable and one of the best forms of self-defence in the world.

Muay Kaad Chuek (Bare Knuckle Fighting) - Coming Soon!

Grand Master Toddy and Ajarn Kwang are both extremely experienced with street fighting and the bare knuckle fighting style of Bangkok.

Ajarn Kwang himself has had over 300 Bare Knuckle fights! They will share their experience and knowledge with you, enabling you to learn more quickly which will save you time and money in the long run.

Boxing Course

Front Kick Course

On this course, you will learn how to master different types of front kicks for both defence and attack scenarios, how to use reach effectively, and how to generate more power.

What will you learn?
• How to use a front kick to stop all different kinds of attacks
• Execution of a knock out kick to your opponent
• How to throw off your opponent by using it as defence
• The most effective ways to use it on different types of fighters
• Timing drills and various types of front kicks
• Sparring using front kicks
• Improving balance

You will also be given homework to practice so you can implement it into your training regime.

Round Kick Course

There are over 10 variations of powerful and destructive round kicks.

This course is a must have to sharpen your skills so you are the most accurate and efficient when you are setting your kick up, timing it and crushing your opponent.

You will be taught how, why and when to use these devastating round kicks to get maximum results and outcome.

Knee Course

There are more than 10 kinds of knees and many types grabs or clinches to use knees. In Thailand, it is common practice to do knee drill for hours a day, so if your knee isn’t strong, you will never beat a Thai!  Once you become more advanced in using knees, it will come more naturally and with ease which will give you the upper hand because no other Martial Art can get out of knees in grab.

What will you learn?

  • How to position your body to see what will work with different types of knee strikes
  • How to feel and practice what kind of knee weapon your opponent will use and what you can do to counter
  • Put together all grabs, body positions and knees to form combinations
  • Improve your balance and use your opponents weight against them
  • The system of Diesel Noi ‘King of the Knee’, ex Lumpinee Stadium Champion

You will also be given homework to practice so you can implement it into your training regime.

Kneeing and Clinching Course_New

Elbow Course

Using elbows are dangerous because they are so powerful and sharp. There are two types of elbows: one that will cut and the other which will achieve a knock out. Elbows will take a while to be conditioned, so you need to know how to do it right, but this will help improve your fighting game.

What will you learn?

  • Good defence and positioning
  • See how hard you opponent hits, their fighting style, and assess what guard is most appropriate. The elbow then becomes key of victory
  • Train all different kinds of elbows from defence to attack
  • Positioning and when is the right time to strike with an elbow
  • How to close the distance successfully, without getting hurt
  • How to use this weapon with all different gym equipment

You will also be given homework to practice so you can implement it into your training regime.

Elbows Course_New

K.O. Course

There’s a lot more to achieving a knock-out in a fight than just throwing a kick or punch. As well as having a heart to be in the ring in the first place, timing, positioning and knowing what weapon to use are all majorly significant factors in accomplishing that final blow.

What you will learn?

  • Perfect positioning for the set up
  • Timing the set up precisely
  • Setting up the correct weapon, such as the ‘Cobra’ punch and working on accuracy
  • How to use different drills using an array of equipment to combine all of the above
  • How to not show your weapon before the strike, catching your opponent off guard keeping it sharp, fast and heavy

You will also be given homework to practice so you can implement it into your training regime.

KO Course_New

Sparring Course

Learning how to spar can be one of the hardest things for a fighter, but it’s one of the most important things to learn. You have to know how to use combinations, think quickly, how to spar against different types of fighters and also finding a partner to work well with.

What will you learn?

  • How to control your sparring and doing specified drills so you can work with a partner you trust and not get hurt.
  • Learn a step by step system, introducing all limbs gradually using attack, defence and countering
  • Correct footwork and set up
  • Learn how to make friends and work well with your sparring partner
  • Learn what to do for different defence and counter scenarios

You will also be given homework to practice so you can implement it into your training regime.

King of sparring course-2

Krabi Krabong Course

Along with Muay Boran, this is one of the oldest Thai Martial Arts so they were often used in conjunction with one another, because if you dropped your weapons you were then able to use your hands and feet. It’s a real fighting art that uses a lot of power and its weapons are more effective than you’ve ever seen. It’s great fantastic for self-defence because you can use almost anything as a weapon once you learn Krabi Krabong and your physical strength and body leanness will improve greatly.

What will you learn?

  • Learn to use two swords, one at a time, attaining basic movements of attack- which way is the most effective and knowing why
  • Structured system of learning
  • How to protect yourself at all times using the sword
  • The use of controlled power when sparring
  • Learn both attack and defence for every move

You will receive a syllabus and homework for you to practice so you will be ready for the next level, and achieving a certification dependent on the level completed.

Muay Boran Course

This is the ancient Martial Art of Thailand. Its aim is to break the opponent, ultimately, kill. It was used in many wars throughout Thailand’s history and is a great form of self-defence. In order to train, you have to have a succinct system to train in this art step-by-step, learning in a safe and controlled manner. You can learn all the techniques just like Tony Jaa (Ong Bak)!

What will you learn?

  • Great effective defensive skills that are as effective as an attack, and combining them together
  • Learn how to fight more than one person at a time
  • Be taught all the authentic movements
  • Muay Boran has different ways of attack not used in another Martial Art, like the flying double-elbow. This is because attacks to the enemy were often high paced and from above and airborne
  • If you’re already an instructor, you will learn techniques that ensure your classes will remain exciting and keep students coming back
  • The techniques are easy to learn, so it’s great for all abilities and ages

You will receive a syllabus and homework for you to practice so you will be ready for the next level, and achieving a certification dependent on the level completed.
